TROVE #8 -- A DOLL'S KNITTED OUTFIT. – HOW TO MAKE A SMART ONE.

Here are the directions for a nice set of knitted clothes for a large doll. The pattern doesn't tell how large the doll is, but says the dress is 14" long. The first pattern is for a coat and bonnet. The second one is for a dress, undershirt, panties, and socks. I am searching the Trove files for the original coat pattern. I found it some time ago and made an edited copy, but try as I might, I can't find a complete Trove entry. It only shows the bonnet part, but does not have the coat directions or photo selected for editing. Click here for the coat and here for the other garments.

Here are my edited copies of the two patterns, with pictures. You will need US5 (3.75mm) needles for all the pieces except the socks, which use US1 (2.25mm) needles. The yarn is a light fingering weight -- I always use KnitPicks Palette.
